Chuck Morales
Director
Coach Morales is an accomplished trainer of young players for almost 30 years in Orange County . In addition he has directed performance based soccer camps for thousands of campers throughout the Orange County area. Chuck is in his 13 th year as head coach of the Santa Margarita High Schools girls soccer program where he has coached several high school All Americans including the Gatorade National Player of the Year and Parade Magazine National Player of the Year. In that time the Eagles have won many CIF championships and he has been named California State Coach of the Year. Prior to coming to Santa Margarita, Coach Morales is a former Olympic Development Program Administrator and State Staff coach. He holds a USSF B coaching license and a NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma. Chuck is married to Lynn and has two daughters, Gina and Brandi, and three sons, Dave, Greg and Hunter, a freshman at Santa Margarita High School. He is also the proud grandfather of seven beautiful grandchildren.
Eddie Huerta
Head Trainer
Coach Huerta is a soccer trainer extraordinaire. Eddie is in his tenth year of coaching at the varsity level at Santa Margarita High School. He manages the training for soccer camps with Coach Morales in the Orange County area. He is married to Paulette and resides in Santa Margarita with his daughters Alexes and Ravyn. Eddie graduated from Concordia University in Irvine in 1994 where he earned many honors as a four year goalkeeper starter. Eddie is a teacher at Newhart Middle School in Mission Viejo and now enjoys a rewarding career inspiring young athletes to excel in the classroom as well as the playing field.
Karen Cleary
Trainer
Coach Cleary grew up in Valencia and played competitive soccer for 17 years. She graduated from Biola University where she played sweeper. Karen is the Junior Varsity coach at Santa Margarita High School for the last three seasons. Coach Cleary possesses a very positive training deameanor with her players and holds a State Coaching license. She and her husband Mike enjoy mountain biking and keeping up with their puppy, Sam.
Erin Rutenbar
Trainer
Coach Rutenbar lives in south county with her husband Jake and son Luke. Erin is the Frosh Soph coach at Santa Margarita High School where she has been very successful. Erin grew up in Costa Mesa and went to college at Biola University. At Biola, Coach Rutenbar played goalkeeper for her four seasons. In her spare time Erin is very family oriented and enjoys playing soccer and has earned a State Coaching license.
Julie Peterson
Trainer
Coach Peterson grew up in south county, attended Santa Margarita High School and was a starting goalkeeper for USC. This recently graduated Trojan still holds a few school records and received All Pac 10 honors. Julie currently teaches 4th grade at Serra Catholic School and enjoys being a huge college football fan! She holds a State coaching license.
